About Us

kim suntjensSeveral years ago, my husband and I decided to purchase an investment property.  It was a pretty big deal for us.  We had a strict budget (and it wasn’t much) and could barely scrape together the 25% down, but we were determined to have an “income property”!

I scoured the internet to find properties and as well as an associate to represent us- reading bios and accolades and eventually found a “successful” one.  They arrived the morning of the appointment, in their Mercedes and ready to show us around.  It was a whirlwind of showings and I don’t remember any of the houses.  I do however, remember the feelings that day…being rushed, trapped and scared.

At the end of the appointment, they wouldn’t take us back to the hotel.  Instead, we were escorted back to their office and were pressured into writing a full priced offer (which we were informed wouldn’t be good enough to be accepted) before we could go back to the hotel.

I chose to work differently.

My background isn’t in sales and I don’t drive a fancy vehicle.    I will probably suggest that you follow behind me for showings because my car is filled with booster seats and dried up French fries.   My children have taught me the art of negotiation and not being independently wealthy has made it important to find potential in all properties.  (I have a knack for finding great deals in case you want to take me furniture shopping with you).  And if you need advice on how to tile a backsplash, refinish hardwood floors, or paint kitchen cabinets, I can help.

I love working with Gary.  We compliment each other and this enables us to offer incredible customer service.   Our office smells like coffee, music will be playing and laughter will be heard.

And we’ll save any contract writing until you’re absolutely ready.
